Count your calories accurately

Calorie counting doesn’t have to mean weighing every leaf of lettuce or obsessing over whether your meal is 537 or 542 calories. Learn how to estimate, track and understand calories in real-world food, from hawker meals and restaurant dishes to packaged food and your favourite drinks.

Cut through the food noise

How many calories are actually in your chicken rice? Is that salad really 350 calories? How much oil is hiding in your noodles? Does eating out mean you have to abandon your diet?

The internet is full of calorie calculators, apps and conflicting advice. But knowing how to use a database isn’t the same as knowing how to estimate food.

This course teaches you the principles behind calorie counting, so you can make sensible estimates yourself, without relying blindly on an app or spending hours calculating every ingredient.

You’ll learn how to look at food differently, make practical estimates and understand where your calories are actually coming from.

Whether you’re trying to lose weight, gain weight, maintain your current weight, or simply understand nutrition better, this course gives you the tools to estimate and manage your calorie intake, for a lifetime.
